M
| M is a psychosexual film about two women navigating power dynamics in their new relationship. Lea is floating through the world, ill at ease, until she spies the enigmatic M, who draws her to the edge of the unknown. Lea soon finds herself literally on her knees, and down there she makes a surprising discovery: she realizes that she likes it, with her knees grinding into the hardwood and M looking pleased. But, that realization quickly turns to doubt and Lea volleys her desire for M with her own fears, regrets, and shame. Starring Christine Shepard, dancer and poet, and Anna Kathleen, whose original short story of the same title (published in Beyond Queer Words July 2022) inspired the film adaptation. |
