Sunday, April 21st

12:00 – 12:45 WORKSHOP: “Sync Licensing for Filmmakers”, held by Steph Rushton and Chicago Mike Beck

Navigating the process of sync licensing music for your film can be a daunting and confusing process — Selecting and sourcing music, identifying and communicating with relevant rights holders, executing licenses, step-deals, temp tracks, budgeting, syncs vs masters, sample clearance, DIY vs working with music supervisors — These are just some of the challenges inherent in the process.

“Sync Licensing for Filmmakers”: This workshop will give a solid foundation and introductory overview to the process of finding and licensing music for your next film. Extensive resources and reference materials will be provided.

This workshop will be presented by Steph Rushton CPA, Music Supervisor / Director of Europe & A&R for Seven Seas Music & The Rights Workshop and “Chicago” Mike Beck, Founder and Executive Director for Access Film Music LLC.
